PROJECT OVERVIEW: Clients with young children, who valued period Victorian features but also wanted a home that was modern and worked for them. This multi-phase project involved an extensive structural reorganisation across several storeys, alongside essential external maintenance. The brief focused on lifestyle efficiency—reallocating underutilised spaces for a busy modern household while blending a traditional aesthetic with high-performance functionality.
On the third floor, we reconfigured the layout, dividing a large bathroom and laundry cupboard to create a dedicated teenager’s bathroom. The basement laundry moved up to this level as a full-service laundry room, featuring Italian porcelain tiling and bespoke joinery to maximise storage. Relocating the laundry unlocked the lower level, allowing us to transform the old utility space into a dedicated mudroom with custom joinery and a fully equipped dog wash station.
To complete the interior revitalisation, we refreshed the ground floor by repainting the kitchen joinery and integrating new high-specification appliances. Externally, we executed essential fabric upgrades, including roof works, general maintenance, and a striking new front door to elevate the home's kerb appeal.
